Project requests

Users who have been the Manager of a project are allowed to create new projects. Other users need to request an admin to create a project for them.

Users need a verified email address on Language Depot in order to request a project.

Users who are not allowed to create projects, can still access the Create Project page, but will have a button called "Request Project".

When they request a project they'll see a notification indicating that their request has been submitted.

Only our **Super Admins** (there are currently only 2) will receive an email notifying them about the project request. So, we advise users (see [Create a Project](https://scribehow.com/shared/Create_a_Project__3LFa5XTHSmOLbSSOm8hZKQ)) to reach out to an Admin they know after they submit the request.

Draft projects (aka Project Requests) are always listed at the top of the Admin project table

When you open a Draft project you'll see who requested the project as well as the information the user entered. Modify the request as you see fit.

After you create the project, the requesting user will be allowed to create projects by themselves, because they have become a project **Manager**. This cannot be reverted. If you don't think the user should be a **Manager** (and thus allowed to create projects) you can remove them (with the ✕) before you create the project and add them as an **Editor** afterwards.

When you're ready, click "Create Project" to complete the process

🎉 The project has been created with the requesting user as a **Manager** (unless you removed them)

We don't currently notify users when their requested project is created or when they are added to a project. So, it's a good idea to let them know.

You can view the requesting user's details to verify that they are now allowed to create projects themselves.
