Finding ambient video link in Vimeo

    • RutgersRutgers
**Locate your source video in Vimeo.** *Note: A **Vimeo Standard (formerly Pro)** paid account is required to access this option.*
    **Click this icon**.
    Click "**Video file links**"
Use the dropdown to **set "Play the video"**
**Click "Copy Link"** for the version of the video you need. HD is recommended.
    Switch to your RCCL site
Identify the "Ambient Video" field on the component.
**Paste the link you just copied** into the Ambient video field.
Note the format of the link is "[player.vimeo.com/](http://player.vimeo.com/)....." this format is required for the RCCL ambient video playback. A standard format Vimeo URL will not work.\ \ Previously, Vimeo called this the "Distribution format" -- that does not appear to be Vimeo's current convention.
**Set a background image.** When using an ambient video, setting a background image is recommended, even if the RCCL component does not require one. This background image will display in the event the video cannot load.
    Save or preview your work.
    Confirm your video displays properly.
