Review a Funding Entry Transaction for a Position

This guide provides step-by-step instructions to review a funding entry transaction for a filled, single-headcount position in UCPath.

On the **General Ledger Administration** homepage, click the **General Ledger Tasks** tile.

On the left navigation pane, expand the **Funding** section, and then select the **Funding Entry** option.

Enter search criteria in one or more search fields on the **Find an Existing Value** page. For the most accurate search results, use the **Request ID**, **Position Number**, or **Empl ID**. **NOTE:** UCPath defaults to the current **Fiscal Year**.

For this example, the **Department**, **Fiscal Year**, and **Position Number** were entered as search criteria.

Click the **Search** button.

If only one funding entry transaction matches the search criteria, UCPath automatically displays the *Funding Entry* page. If more than one funding entry transaction matches the search criteria, in the **Search Results** section, click the **arrow** icon at the end of the row to select the appropriate transaction and display the *Funding Entry* page.

Review the following header details on the transaction: - **Request ID** – displays the unique transaction number for this entry. Each request ID begins with FE. - **Requested by** – displays the Empl ID of the Initiator. - **Submitted on** – displays the date the Initiator submitted the transaction. - **Set ID** – displays the business unit. - **Department** – displays the department associated with the position. - **Fiscal Year** – displays the fiscal year for the funding. - **Budget Begin Date and Budget End Date** – displays the begin and end date for the fiscal year. - **Request Status** – indicates the submission status of the transaction. - Refer to the [Funding for Positions](https://scribehow.com/o/TfG_KfE0QACTyrcDyJzitg/page/Funding_for_Positions__lWJQpQHlRQu34daSpHRNFQ) page for status definitions.

Review the position details in the **Level** section.

Review the following details in the **Job Data Snapshot** section: - The incumbent employee associated with the position on two tabs: **Job details 1** and **Job details 2**. - Click the **Additional Pay** link on the Job details 2 tab to review recurring additional pay earnings codes that may require funding. **NOTE:** If the position is vacant, the fields are blank on these two tabs.

The **Earnings Distribution** section displays the funding with the highest effective date and sequence.

If there are funding entries for more than one effective date/sequence: - Click the **View All** link in the **Level** section to display all funding entries on the page. - Click the **View 1** link to return to the single-date view. - Click the navigation arrows to scroll through the funding entries.

Review the approval routing details in the AWE section at the bottom of the page. Approver comments appear in the **Comment** field. **NOTE:** The blue header in the AWE section displays the **Request ID**, **Set ID**, **Dept ID**, fiscal **Year**, and approval status.
