SC.3.2b Create a Credit Memo (not automatically applied)

Start in the Sample company.

To complete this exercise, you must be in the Sample company. From your QBOA account, click the Gear icon on the top right corner of the screen, then select Sample company.
Note that you will be logged out of your current account. If you are sure, click "Continue" to confirm.
Now you can start the exercise.
Adjust Settings
The setting "Automatically apply credits" is turned on in the Sample company. Craig said that the Red Rock Diner owner could use the credit as they wished, so you don't want it to automatically apply the credit. Turn that setting off.

Click the Gear icon.

Click "Account and settings"

Click "Advanced"

Click anywhere in the "Automation" section.

At the "Automatically apply credit" setting, toggle the slider off.

Click "Save"

Red Rock Diner
Before you create the credit memo, take a look at the Red Rock Diner account.

On the Left Nav Bar, hover over "Sales" and click "Customers"

Click "Red Rock Diner"
Here you can see there are two unpaid invoices along with the account balance.
