STN - Adding a New Staff Member as a Contact to HubSpot

This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to add a new staff member as a contact to HubSpot. By creating a contact record, you can include them in mass email messaging lists and newsletters.

Doing this step is different than setting them up as a user. By creating a contact record we are able to include them in mass email messaging lists (like newsletters, etc.).

Click "Contacts"

Click "Contacts"

Click "Create contact"

Enter the staff member's email under "Email"

Enter their "First name"

Enter their "Last name"

Click "Contact owner" and change to the name of the staff member (start typing their name and they will appear).

Click "Contact Type"

Click "Staff"

Click "Contact Type"

If you have their phone number, click "Phone number" to enter.

Enter their phone number.

Click "Apply"

Click "Close"

Opt the contact into their location newsletter by selecting the correct drop down for the location and select "Yes"

Check the checkbox next to "Set this contact as a marketing contact"

Click "Create"
