Click "College of Arts and Sciences"
    7
Click the "Catalog Number" field and type "1%" or "2%" This will prompt the system to only show you courses at the 100-level or 200-level respectively. For your first semester, you should avoid courses at the 300-level or higher as these are designed for juniors and seniors.
    8
    Click the "Course Attribute" field.
    9
    Click "Hub Requirements"
    10
Click the "Course Attribute Value" field. The "Course Attribute" field allows you to select a particular hub requirement. I recommend the following for first year students: Philosophical Inquiry (PLM)\ Aesthetic Exploration (AEX)\ Historical Consciousness (HCO)\ Scientific Inquiry I (SCI I) These are not the only units you'll need to think about during your four years, but they are usually good choices for first year students -- there are a lot of options! Other units you'll need, especially Individual in Community (IIC) and Critical Thinking (CRT) often come with other units, so it's best to leave them until later.
    11
Choose a hub requirement to search for. For this example I'll use Aesthetic Exploration, but you might choose something different.
    12
Click the "Show Open Classes Only" field.
    13
    Click "Search"
    information ordinal icon
Tip! Once you've clicked search, keep scrolling! Not all of the choices will load at first. If you don't like the open choices for the hub requirement you searched for, try a different hub requirement.
