Navigate to <https://guides.lib.vt.edu/scopus>

Select Sign in via your organization button

Type in Virginia Tech and click "Virginia Tech (Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University)"

If not already logged in, complete log in process with you Virginia Tech credentials.

Type in first and last name and select Search button

Type in your first and last name and then click "Search".

Use filter on left to narrow to Virginia Tech

If there are too many results you can use the filters on the left to narrow.  For example, click on "Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University".

After selecting limits, click the  'Limit to' button.

Click 'View last title' to see the most recent publication associated with that author to confirm it is yours.  You can also click on the name to view the full profile.

Select the checkboxes next to the author profiles

If you confirm the 2 (or more) profiles are yours, select the checkbox for each.

Select that it is your profile and then click "Continue".

Click to review details such as documents

You can click on the sections like the documents to review content that would be merged together to confirm everything is yours.

Select name and organization preferences from dropdown options.

You can also select your preferred name and organization.  Note: options are limited to name variations and organizations you have used when publishing.

If you made changes you can click on  "Review # change"

If all looks ok, click 'Submit request'. You should receive an email and within a few days confirming the change in Scopus.
