Set up Order Confirmation Automation

From the left-hand navigation bar, go to "Marketing"

Click "Automations"

Select "Order Confirmation"

First, let’s set the message delay. This decides how soon the message should be sent after an order is placed.

Next, select the Message Template you want to use.

For now, we’ll use one of the default pre-approved templates available in your DelightChat account.

Next, let’s map the right values for the variables in your template.

For this template, I’ll use "Customer First Name" for the first variable

"Brand Name" for the second

"Order Status URL" for the third variable

If you’d like to send this order confirmation message for Cash on Delivery orders also, then go ahead and check this box.
If you’ve already enabled COD order verification automation, don’t select this option.

In case you’re using a Shopify POS system and want to send confirmations for POS orders too, make sure to keep this option enabled.

Enable the automation

Click "Save"

Later, when you want to track how many messages were sent, you can click on the Order Confirmation automation

and click "Performance"
