When the patient arrives for their appointment, Click the time on the calendar

Click this "Status" dropdown. Change to "Arrived"

This is optional but you can add a room number

Click "Save". Once you set status to "Arrived" an "Encounter" should be created automatically.

Additionally, you can change the patients status by going to "Flow under "Calendar" 

From the "Flow page" click on the button under "Appt Status"

Click this dropdown and change the status type.

From the "Flow page", click the patient's name.

From there, you should see the patient dashboard.

To the right of the name, you have the encounter that was automatically created. Select the encounter 

Once you are in the encounter, Click "Billing"

You have the option to have preset codes added, For this we clicked the  "New Patient" Codeset

Click the checkbox that corresponds. The code options can be customized based upon your needs

In order to add in additional codes, go to "Search for Additional Codes" Add in a couple numbers and click "Search" or hit space bar.

Search Results should show. Click the "Search" Dropdown

Once you are finished adding charges and copays, Click "Save"
