It offers more than just voice calls; it provides a range of functionalities such as chat, voicemail access, presence status monitoring, call control, and many more features. You can install the MiCollab Client on your work computer or as an app on your mobile phone. This ensures you always remain connected, facilitating continuous communication and collaboration with your team and clients, regardless of your location. We're thrilled to introduce you to this integrated experience. Let's dive in!

Setting Up Your MiCollab Client for the First Time (Desktop / PC Version)

This guide assumes the MiCollab Client has already been installed on your computer by your IT staff or other third party. If that is not the case, please have them do so and then return to this guide to continue. If for any reason you need assistance in getting this portion completed, please don't hesitate to reach out to us using the contact methods at the end of this document.
Find the "MiCollab" icon on your desktop and open the client by double clicking it.
The MiCollab Client will open and present its End User License Agreement. Click Accept to proceed.
You will now be presented with a screen asking for an authentication key. This will be provided to you in an email covered in the following step.
When your user account was created, an email was automatically generated and sent to you. The email will be from [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) and it will detail the steps needed to install and activate your MiCollab Client. If you did not receive this email, please contact us at [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) and let us know that you need an Authentication Key for your MiCollab Client. We will send one to you ASAP.
As mentioned at the beginning of this document, if you are currently activating your MiCollab Client on your desktop, your IT Department has most likely already installed it on your PC. In this case, you can proceed directly to step two (2) in the email. While your MiCollab Client is still up and running (and at the "Enter Authentication Key" screen), select the "click here" hyperlink. This action will automatically populate the authentication key into your MiCollab Client and initiate the login process.
If the step above did not work for any reason, you will find your unique authentication key at the bottom of the same email. Simply copy and paste the key into the MiCollab Client's "Enter Authentication Key" section and then select "Login".
See example below of MiCollab Client connecting to your Unified Communications server.
Once connected, you may see a pop up describing new features. You can choose to cycle through the slides or skip.

Setting Up Your MiCollab Client For the First Time (Mobile App Version)

Please note that at various points in this process, your phone may ask you if you want to grant permissions to the MiCollab Client for various functions like notifications, using your microphone, accessing your contacts, etc. You will need to set these permissions to "Allow" or "While using the app" in order to guarantee full functionality of the client.
Referring back to the email you received from Mitel, you can see in step (1) that it gives you the link to both the Apple and Google App-Stores. If you are reading the email on the mobile phone you wish to install the app on, simply click the appropriate App-Store for your device and it will take you directly to the "MiCollab for Mobile" download page.
      Simply click the Install button.
