Use the Configuration tab to navigate to System &gt; Basic site settings.

Locate the Front Page field and set the default front page to the URL pathway you'd like to appear

Click Save Configuration. 

Note: you may need to clear your local browser cache to see the change in effect.

The Alternative Homepage content type is generally used for RCCL homepages, though any content type can be set to the homepage. Make sure the page is published. You can change your default "homepage" at any time.
