In this walkthrough, we will take you through the correct steps to set up API access for IntelliShift Partners.
Before we get started, please ensure you have created a unique and dedicated email address using your company domain. You will need to access this email in the final steps of this walkthrough in order to create a password.
Navigate to the "Administration" service module.
Click "Users" in the top navigation panel.
Click the add user icon in the upper right-hand corner.
Click the "Start from scratch" option.
Click "Create."
Within the email field, type in the email you created. For example "WISEAPI@abcdelivery.com"
Type "API" for the first name.
For the last name, type in the partner name. For example, if you are integrating with Wise Systems, type in "Wise."
For User Type, select "Administrator."
Ensure all branches are selected.
Within the permissions, find "Telematics." Click "Assign All."
Find "Connect API" and toggle it on. (If you do not see this permission, contact your account manager or support@intellishift.com.)
Click "Create"
Once created, this user will receive a Welcome email from IntelliShift. Click the link within the email and set a password for the API account. You will need to send this password, the user email, along with further instructions to the partner company.
