Make your choice:

Research: if the media output discusses the research of a UM researcher\
Expert comment: if a UM employee was consulted/ quoted / interviewed\
Public engagement: Radio of TV appearance\
Other: please use one of the options above

Add the title of the media output or fill in the title of the theme/story if you would like to add more media outputs

Click "Add media contribution or media coverage..." A new window opens

Choose Type:\
Media contribution: the UM employee was actively involved (interviewee)\
Media coverage: the UM eployee was not actively involved (research cited)

Add the title of the media output\* and the description. The description is also shown on the portal\
\*this can be the same title as above

Click "Add person..."\*\
\*If you're a personal user, your name is already added. You only need to add the other persons.

Search and add the correct internal and external involved person(s)

Choose the correct role:

Research cited: UM employee was not actively involved\
Interviewee: UM employee was actively involved

Then click Create

Fill in the date of publication in the Date field

Fill in the URL and the name of the Media outlet

Choose the Degree of recognition (if known)

Choose the Country/Territory if known. Otherwise, choose No value

Fill in the Producer/Author name of the media output. If this field is left blank, it will also not appear on the portal and people may think the UM person is the producer/author

You can link other Pure output to enrich the record. Click on + to select the other output you would like to relate.\
These relations are also visible on the portal.

Only records with Public visibility will be shown on the portal and be counted in (faculty) reports.
