Summary Reports - Managing Strategy Maps

Select **Scorecards & Elements** from the Control Panel\ Choose **Manage Reports**\ Open **Maps**\ Click on the **Plus icon** to add a new Map

Under **Map Name**, enter the name of your new map, in this example, ‘Upward Air Corporate’.\ \ Under **Element Display Options** we are going to select **Show Element Names and Icons**\ The option to **Show Element Names and Icons** means the names of the elements will be displayed alongside status indicators on your map. If you are using a background color, then it would make more sense to Show Element Names and Icons as if you only display the icon, you will not see the element name that the status corresponds to.\ If you are putting in a background image that already has the names of the associated elements in the image, then it makes more sense to just **Show Element Icons**.\ \ Choose a background color for your map, or upload your own background image\ Make sure to upload your own background image as .jpg, .gif or .png. You can also add a background image from our template library.\ \ Mark the checkbox next to **Hide page title on exported reports** if you wish to hide the map’s page title in exported reports.\ Once you are done, click **Continue**

There are a few options to add elements to your Strategy map\ \ You can search for elements using **Filter Elements**\ You can **Drag** elements onto the screen to add them to the map\ To remove elements simply **drag them off** or select one or multiple elements and click on the **“x” icon**.

Select all desired elements by **clicking on each one**. The element will turn orange, and a checkbox will appear on it\ Use the **two alignment buttons** to horizontally and vertically align your selected elements\ Use the **four arrows** to adjust all selected elements by a pixel in any direction\ Click on the **Settings icon**, a new window will appear. Here, you can edit the options related the background image/color and element display.\ Once you are done with your changes, click **Save**

Select **Scorecards & Elements** from the Control Panel\ Choose **Manage Reports**\ Open **Maps**

Locate the map you are going to be working with, in this example, ‘Upward Air Corporate’.\ Click on the **three dots icon**, select **Duplicate Map**\ Under **New Map Name** assign the duplicate map a name\ Click **Duplicate**\ From the **three dots icon** you can also select **Delete Map**\ Confirm you wish to delete the map by clicking the **Delete button**
