Begin entering the locality information you see on the label: Country, State, and County. You'll notice as you type in the fields, a drop-down list will appear for you to select. Click the 'Next' button.
Enter the current scientific name. This will either be on the primary label, or the annotation label with the most recent date. Enter the collector name, number, and collection date from the primary label into the remaining three fields on this page. Click 'Need some help with this task?' under the field in which you have questions. A pop-up will appear with additional information on how to transcribe.
In the "Primary Label Text" type the remaining data on the label that you haven't previously entered. Ex. locality, habitat, plant description.
There are three buttons on this last page: Use the 'Back' button return to the previous two pages to change/correct any data. Click 'Done & Talk' to give feedback about the specimen or image. Click 'Done' if it is completely transcribed and you have no comments or questions. A new image will appear!
