TROUBLESHOOTING: No Estimated Portions

If the recipe does not suggest any values for your estimated portions, you will need to update the item's portion size and portion unit of measure.

Copy the item name

Click "Administration"

Click "Items"

Enter the item name in the "Description" box

Click "Go" to search

Click "edit"

Enter the correct portion weight if you know it. If you don't know this value, put any figure in this field. The correct portion weight can be calculated later

Choose the portion unit of measure. This will usually be in kilograms or litres

Click "Save"

Click "Administration"

Click "Recipes"

Find the recipe and click "Ingredients"

The Recipe Given Values portion size will now reflect the value you added in Step 8

The estimated portions will now appear

You are now able to amend the recipe portion sizes and yield as required, using the estimated portions for reference.
