    Enter your username and password and tap "LOGIN"

    Tap on a ward to select it

    Patient Orders

    Each bed has an occupancy status. Only certain statuses allow you to take an order for the patient. Tap the drop-down box under the bed to change it

    These statuses will allow you to take an order for the patient: - Order - Special Diet – the patient has special dietary needs - Assisted – the patient needs assistance to eat - Exception – used for food orders taken outside of order periods (used for online ordering) These statuses do not require an order: - Nil By Mouth – the patient is receiving nil by mouth - Empty – the bed is empty - Declined – the patient has declined the offer of a meal - Unavailable – the patient is unavailable If you select one of these statuses, the bed will turn grey and you will not be able to take an order for it.

    Tap on a bed to place an order

    Your system may require you to enter the patient name, or another identifier such as the patient's initials. If this is the case, enter this using the text box

    Click the menu drop-down box to change the menu, if required

    Tap on the menu to select it

    Tap on the box next to an item to add it to the patient’s order. \ \ Selected items show in green with a tick alongside them

    If your hospital uses portion sizes, use the plate icons to select the required portion size

    A small green square next to the item name indicates there is a picture or a description. Tap the item name to view it

    Tap the icons to view nutritional, dietary and allergen information for each item

    If your site orders lunch and supper at the same time, the order screen will be split into two sections: one for each serving

    Tap "Confirm Orders" to save

    You will be taken back to the bed list. Repeat the order process until you have taken an order for all available beds. Grey beds do not need an order.
