Tillex Administrator Role - Overview

This guide gives you a general overview of the Tillex Administrator Dashboard. Detailed explanations of each feature are available in separate guides.

Tillex

In the Tillex Partner Center, select "Administrator".

To understand more about each feature, click the orange "i" button.

"Online Trading Status (Open)" allows online sales. If not trading online - click and check the box marked "Closed".

"Locations" sets up your business premises (used in determining delivery charges, click + collect details and printed receipts info).

"Notifications" manages messages (email or SMS) sent to customers at various stages of the order process" SMS services are charged at 5p per message.

"Online Store Settings" handles how your store behaves online for customers e.g. popup products or a full page item description.

"Assets" stores a list of people/things that you can employ/own to provide a service to your customers (or that your customers can book/rent).

"Working Hours" are used together with "Services" to calculate when a merchant can receive and process orders. For example, if a Bakery sets its Working Hours to close at 2pm, staff will not receive orders after this time, ensuring all orders can be processed before the next day.

"Stock Keeping" enables complex stock and production management.

"Tracking Code" added for Facebook Pixel, Google Global Site Tags etc.

"Classes, Attributes, & Categories" can be added to products and services to improve reporting and unlock additional features.

"Services" define the different ways customers can receive the products and services in your catalogue. Examples include Click + Collect, Delivery, or Booking.

"Working Hour Exceptions" let you adjust regular working hours. For example, you can close for refurbishment or a public holiday (or open on a day you usually close).

“Tags" created in the Sales Catalogue are stored here. Tags let you group items from different categories. For example, you can create tags for a meal -deal promotion or to highlight a Vegan product.

"EPOS Configuration" is used to manage EPOS terminals, card terminals, printers and scales.

“Payments" is for the payment methods your business accepts and connects your Tillex account to Stripe to receive online payments. You can also add an online payment charge, which can help protect margins on low-value orders where Stripe’s fixed fee has a bigger impact.

“VAT" lets you configure VAT settings, including rate bands, VAT number, and whether prices are shown to customers inclusive or exclusive of VAT. Tillex tracks the VAT charged on every transaction, and this information is available in analytics reports.

“Charitable Donations" let you ask customers to make a donation at checkout. You can choose from several options, such as a mandatory donation with every order or a discretionary gift based on a percentage of the order.

“Accounting" lets you manage your Merchant and Bank Accounts to simplify reporting and process invoice payments via bank transfer.
