Sign in into the **Microsoft Azure Portal**
Type **Virtual Machine scale sets** in the search bar and click on the **Virtual Machine scale sets** to view the Virtual Machines dashboard
**What are Virtual Machine scale sets?**\ \ Virtual Machine scale sets in Azure are a service that allows you to deploy and manage a set of identical, auto-scaling virtual machines. They enable you to automatically increase or decrease the number of VMs based on demand, ensuring high availability and performance for your applications.
On the **Virtual machine scale** **sets** wizard select the Name **vm-scale-set-1** **Note:** Please verify your VM name, as it might differ in your case.
Click on the **Delete** button on the top left side
**Delete Resources** wizard will open on the right side, scroll the page and tick the check box for Apply force delete for selected VMs **Note:** Apply a force delete for the selected VMs, as this action will remove all services linked to the VM scale set.
Type "**delete**" in the text input field to confirm deletion and click on the **Delete** button
**Delete confirmation** wizard will open, click on the **Delete** button
Congratulations! successfully deleted **vm-scale-set-1** Scale Set
