Troubleshooting Davis Weather Stations with No Rainfall

If your Davis weather station isn't recording rainfall, here's a few steps to take before contacting Farmers Edge support

Check the rain collection for standing water, which would indicate a plugged bucket

Remove the bucket by twisting it counterclockwise and lifting it off the station Inspect the tipping spoon assembly and ensure the tipping spoon can freely tip down and automatically tip back up Blow out and remove any debris that may interfere with the tipping spoon

Inspect the screen that sits above the hole in the bucket for any debris that could block the water The screen can be removed by twisting it counterclockwise and lifting it out

Turn the bucket upside down and check the hole at the bottom to make sure there's nothing blocking it and clear out any dirt or debris You can pull out one of the bird spikes at the top of the bucket to use as a pick to clear out the hole
