Turning On & Using Drivers License Scan

    1
    Navigate to [https://dashboard.accushield.com/](https://dashboard.accushield.com/landing)
    2
    Click "Settings"
    3
    Click "Sign In Features"
    4
Scroll down to Enhancements and click the "Driver's License Scan" field.
    5
Consider turning on "Allow Users to Skip" for situations where a kiosk user doesn't have their license on them. If this is not checked, users will HAVE to scan a license in order to fully sign-in.
    6
If you want more control, you could check "Require Override Code" which means if someone does try to skip scanning their license, a member of your team would have to approve that by input a four digit code onto the Kiosk. This will allow them to continue their sign-in.
    7
If you are using the override feature, choose your four digit code and share that code with the necessary members of your staff that would need to know, such as your front desk team. We might recommend choosing a code from an already known source - like the last four digits of your communities phone number, for example.
    8
Next, determine which visitor types you want to scan licenses for.
    9
You will notice a "Frequency" dropdown associated with most visitor types. This chooses how frequently you want a user to scan their license.
    10
Selecting "Every Time" will require users to scan their Driver’s License upon each visit, while "Only Registration" means the user will be asked to scan their Driver’s License only during their first sign-in (after turning the feature on)
    11
You can customize the frequency based on visitor type - so may want to have providers / vendors scan theirs every visit, but family / guests just once.
    12
Click "Save" once you're done making your changes. Your choices should now be reflected on the Kiosk during sign-in.
    13
Once Driver’s License scan is enabled, upon next sign-in the user will be prompted to scan their Driver’s License after entering their cell phone number (or employee ID, for staff). When the Driver’s License is scanned, the Kiosk will collect the user's details such as First and Last Name and home address. These details can be found within the visitor or staff member’s profile in the Dashboard.
    14
If you're allowing Kiosk users to skip scanning their Driver’s License, they can select the Skip option and continue through the sign-in manually. If the Override option is turned on, a staff member will have to type in the Override Code to allow the sign-in the continue.
    15
Driver’s License scan can be used as a quick way for Kiosk users to easily sign in. Users do not need to click "Sign-In" or select their visitor type prior to scanning their license after their first initial scan. During future sign-ins, users can simply scan the barcode on the back of their license to shave off 5-10 seconds and complete their sign-in.
