    Sign in into the **Microsoft Azure Portal**

    Type **Storage Accounts** in the search bar and click on the **Storage Accounts** to view the Storage Accounts dashboard

    **What are Storage Accounts?**\ \ Storage Accounts in Azure are fundamental resources that provide a secure and scalable way to store different kinds of data such as files, blobs, tables, queues, and virtual machine disks. They serve as a central location to store and manage data for various Azure services and applications.

    On the **Storage accounts** dashboard click on the Name **myazurestoragein28**

    Click on the **Containers** from the left bar

    Click on the **Container** button on the top left

    On the right side **New container** wizard will open, give the Name as "**myfirstcontainerin28**"

    Scroll the page and click on the **Create** button

    Storage Container has been successfully created

    On the **Containers** wizard, here you can view the newly created container, click on the Name **myfirstcontainerin28**

    To upload a file, click on the **Upload** button on the top left side

    On the right side **Upload blob** wizard will open, click on the **Browse for files** link

    **Files and Folders** wizard will open, select the file you want to upload and click on the **Open** button

    On the **Upload blob** wizard, click on the **Upload** button
