Updating Your Contact Information and Verification Methods in Your Client Profile

This tutorial walks you through the steps to update your contact information, password, and verification methods in your client profile with Assumption Life.

Start by visiting our website at [www.assumption.ca](http://www.assumption.ca).

From the homepage, click the **Client Corner** button located in the top right corner to open the menu. Select the line of business you wish to access. For the purpose of this tutorial, we will use **Life Insurance** as an example.

Click on the **Sign In** button to continue.

Sign in using the **Username** or **Email Address** and **Password** associated with your Assumption Life client account, then click **Sign In** to access your profile. *If you've forgotten your login information, use the available options:* - *Click **I forgot my Username** to recover your username* - *Click **I forgot my Password** to reset your password*

Verify your identity using one of your selected methods (email or mobile). Click **Send Now** to receive your verification code.

Once you receive the code by email or mobile, enter it in the **Enter Verification Code** field and click **Validate**. If the code has expired (after 10 minutes), click **New Code** to receive a new one.

*Tip: If you copy and paste the code, make sure there are no extra spaces or special characters before submitting.*

Once you’ve successfully logged in, click on **Hello, \[Your Name\]** located in the top right corner of your screen, then select **Edit My Profile** from the dropdown menu.

In **My Profile**, under the **My Details** tab, you can update any field that is not greyed out or that displays an ✏️**Update** button. To update your **address**, simply enter the new information in the available fields and click **Save** to apply the changes.

After modifying your address and clicking **Save**, you will see a confirmation message indicating that the changes have been successfully applied in our system. Click **Confirm** to continue.

If you update your **Email Address** or **Mobile Phone Number** you will be redirected to a confirmation screen to enter and confirm the new information before the update is applied. *For the purpose of this tutorial, we’ll walk through how to update your **Email Address**, so you can see how the verification process works.*

If you attempt to update your **email address** without first saving other changes (such as your address), the system will display a warning message. To avoid losing any updates, make sure you’ve saved your information before proceeding. Once everything is saved properly, click **OK** to continue to the next screen.

You will now be asked to enter your new email address in the section titled **Enter New Email Address** then confirm it by re-entering it in the **Re-Enter New Email Address** field. Once both fields are completed, click **Continue** to proceed and save your changes.

You will be prompted to verify the update by entering the verification code sent to your new email address. You have 10 minutes to enter the code. If it expires, click **New Code** to receive another one.

*If you copy and paste the code, you must ensure that no extra spaces are added when pasting it into the field.*

Your profile has now been successfully updated. Click **Confirm** to complete the process. The same verification steps apply when updating your **mobile phone number**. In that case, the verification code will be sent via **text message** instead of email.

To update your password, navigate to the **My Password** tab. - Enter your **current password** in the field on the left (you can click the eye icon to view what you've typed). - Enter your **new password**, making sure it meets the minimum requirements. - Confirm it by re-entering it in the **Re-Enter New Password** field below. - Click **Save** to apply the change.
