Upload your video to Mediasite (for UM staff)

Learn how to upload your video to Mediasite.

Mediasite

Go to [Mediasite](https://mediasite.maastrichtuniversity.nl/) and login with your UM username and password.

Click 'Add Presentation' to add a new video.

Click 'Choose File' and choose a video file from your computer.

Add a title and a description. Use the description field for the course code (if applicable)\ \ *For example: 2022-003-MTH491 (YEAR-PERIOD-CODE)*

Click the bottom bullet.

Click 'Change'

Change the destination type to 'Shared Folder'.

Select a folder to save your video. Depending on your faculty, you will see different folders. The folder determines which users can view the video: - **\[Faculty\] Local UM**: all UM students and staff. - **\[Faculty\] Local Faculty**: all faculty students and staff. - **\[Faculty\] WWW**: visible without login.

Click 'Create Presentation' to start the video upload.

It might take some time for the upload to be completed, depending on the file size.

Do **not** change the "Who can view" slider if the video was added to a shared folder. The correct permissions are inherited from the shared folder. If you want to move the video to another folder or back to your drafts, click 'Move To'.

Your video is now added to 'My Presentations'. You can also see the shared folder here.
