Navigate to Data > Promo Codes
Step 1: Create a program, which is a group of common promo codes usually associated with the same channel.\ \ Give the program a name, and write a description if you'd like. These values will not appear in your reporting.
Step 2: Within your program, assign the tiers that will appear in reporting for this type of marketing activity. \ \ Most advertisers create a tier structure that resembles the tiers set up for other channels. For example, following the same channel > vendor > campaign structure that might be applied to other channels. - The tag icon will allow you to select from a dropdown of tier values that already exist. - The quote icon will allow you to write in a custom value - The </> icon will dynamically populate a more detailed value based on inputs provided in the next step. For example, if you have OOH activations across multiple markets, you might have promo codes for Dallas vs Houston that you want to break out separately in your reporting.
The tiers represent how activity against this promo code will be reported on in Rockerbox. \ \ Once you're satisfied with the tier structure, click save.
Step 3: Add promo codes to your program by selecting your program and clicking "+ Promo Codes"\ \ Click the "+" icon in the table to add a new row. \ \ Promo Code entires must contain a name (describing the code) and the specific promo code.\ \ You may bulk upload codes by copy / pasting a table into the grid. \ \ When complete, click "Add Entities and Promo Codes" to save.
Step 4: If you are uploading a promo code after it has been redeemed, you will need to apply the update historically. \ \ To do so, click the Status tile and click the backfill button against the days you expect the code to have been redeemed. This is only possible up to 30 days historically, so make sure you update your promo codes on a regular cadence.
Any conversions attributed to a marketing channel via promo codes can be found in your cross-channel report, under the same tier structure you assigned against the program. \ \ If the code has not been redeemed, you will not see any conversions against the program.
