    Use Blackboard's AI Design Assistant to Generate Discussion and Journal Topics

    Navigate to your course at [https://learn.humber.ca/ultra/courses/](https://learn.humber.ca/ultra/courses/_237405_1/outline)

    Click on the '+' icon where you would like to add your discussion or journal.

    Click "Create".

    Click on the Discussion or Journal options to create the Discussion or Journal.

    Click the 'Auto-generate' button in the top right corner of the page.

    You can enter prompts into the "Description" field, if you would like.

    Click "Inspire me!"

    You can also 'Select course items' to indicate what information the AI Design Assistant should choose information from in your course.

    You can then choose the desired cognitive level for the Discussion or Journal prompt. Selecting the 'Inspire me!' option will generate 3 different Discussion or Journal topics with different cognitive levels.

    You can also change the complexity of the Discussion or Journal topic by using this slider.

    If you would like to generate a discussion title, please select "Generate discussion/journal title". If you already have a discussion or journal title in mind, please de-select this option.

    Click "Generate" when you are ready!
