Navigate to [https://www.cavatica.org/](https://www.cavatica.org/)

On the Homepage under "External Connections", click "Manage Connections"

Scroll to "Synapse Portal" and click "Connect"

You will be redirected to sign into Synapse. Log into Synapse and review the prompt requesting permission for CAVATICA to link with your Synapse account. Click **Allow**.

Your CAVATICA and Synapse accounts are now linked! You can verify that you are successfully linked by returning to the **Dataset Access** page, **Synapse Portal** section.

Note that the connection will expire after a set time. If your connection expires, please repeat the above steps to reconnect your account.

Navigate to <https://eliteportal.synapse.org/Explore/Data>

Filter for and select your data files of interest.

Click "I acknowledge and accept these terms". Click "Continue"

Before sending data to CAVATICA, make sure you:

1.[[ ]]Logged in to your CAVATICA account.

2.[[ ]]Connected your CAVATICA account to Synapse.

If you are sending controlled access data, you may need to complete additional steps to meet access requirements before transferring the data to CAVATICA. These will be displayed in the dialogue box below.

1. You must be logged in to a CAVATICA account.
2. You must connect your CAVATICA account to Synapse.

Click "Send Results To CAVATICA". This will redirect you to complete steps on the [CAVATICA.org](http://CAVATICA.org) site.

On the CAVATICA website, select a "Destination project" or "Create a new project"

Check the box below indicating you understand the terms and conditions for use of this data.
