    By Scorecard User

If you are a By Scorecard user that means your access to ClearPoint is going to be different depending on which Scorecard you are working in. For example, you may be a Browser user for 3 Scorecards an Updater for 1 Scorecard, an Editor for another and Scorecard Administrator for other 2 Scorecards.

    Editing vs Updating

Update fields contain information that will change from one reporting period to the next. Some common examples are entering monthly Measure data and Analysis or providing a project status update. Please visit our [Updater user](https://support.clearpointstrategy.com/en/articles/8725078-user-types-updater-user) Help Center article for more information. Edits fields contain information that is consistent through different Reporting Periods and include things like Owner, Description, or Data Source.
