    Updater user

    An Updater user is usually someone responsible for adding information periodically into ClearPoint. Updaters can view anything as permitted by their Scorecard Administrator but you can only make changes to Update Fields.

    Update Fields

    What are Update Fields? Update fields contain information that will change from one reporting period to the next. Some common examples are entering monthly Measure data and Analysis or providing a project status update. In this example, we are going to navigate to Measures and update some of its fields.
    - Select **Scorecards & Elements** from the Control Panel - Choose **Manage Elements** - Open **Measures** - Select the **Measure** you are going to be working with, in this example, ‘Expenses’.
    - Locate the **Measure Data table** - **Double-click** on the cell you want to update and enter the appropriate value - You can also provide an **Analysis** and **Recommendations** to go along with the updated value

    My Favorites

    If you know you are going to be updating the same pages periodically, you can mark the page as Favorite for ease of access.
    - Select **Scorecards & Elements** from the Control Panel - Choose **Manage Elements** - Open **Measures** - Select the **Measure** you are going to be working with, in this example, ‘Expenses’. - Click on the **Favorite icon** at the top right
    - Easily find your favorites by clicking on **My ClearPoint** from the Control Panel - Select **My Favorites**
    - You can also find **My Scorecard** under My ClearPoint - My Scorecard shows all elements where you are an owner or collaborator

    Export a page

    As an Updater you can export pages from ClearPoint in different formats, whether they are Summary Reports or Detail pages. In this example, we are going to navigate to a Measure and export it to PDF.
    - Select **Scorecards & Elements** from the Control Panel - Choose **Manage Elements** - Open **Measures** - Select the **Measure** you are going to be working with, in this example, ‘Expenses’.
    - Click on the **dropdown menu** next to the edit Pencil icon at the top right - Select **Export to PDF** - Other types of reports like Measures will additionally allow you to **Export to Excel** and Dashboards have also the option to **Export to PowerPoint**.
    - The option **Email Page** is useful as you don’t have to download and attach a report - Select a recipient from the **dropdown menu** or enter an email address if it's an external user - You will find a prepopulated **Subject** that you can modify - Additionally, you can send yourself a copy of the email - In the **Body field**, you can add a message to give context to the page you are sending - Once you are done, click **Save**

    Briefing Books

    As an updater, you can create Briefing Book templates. Briefing Book templates allow you to hand-pick reports and details pages from Scorecards you have access to and turn them into a convenient PDF report.
    - Select **Documents** from the Control Panel - Click on **Briefing Books** under Templates - Click on the **Plus icon**
