Using Latest Java Version with Latest Eclipse

Click on the Windows Applications wizard, type "**cmd**" in the search bar and click on the **Command Prompt** option

**Command prompt** wizard will open, type "**java-version**" java version "21.0.2" 2024-01-16 LTS will be displayed

On the **eclipse-workspace** in **Eclipse IDE** , on the Navigation bar click on the **Window** dropdown and select the option **Preferences**

**Preferences** wizard will open, on the left bar click on the **Java** dropdown option

Click on the **Compiler** option

**Compiler** wizard will open, click on the **Compiler compilance level** dropdown

Select the option **21** from the dropdown

Click on the **Apply and Close** button

On the left bar click on the **Installed JREs** dropdown

Click on the **Add...** button

JRE Type wizard will open, click on the **Next >** button

JRE Defination wizard will open, click on the **Directory** button

**Select Folder** wizard will open, select the folder to create a workspace in and click on the **Select Folder** button

On the **eclipse- workspace - Eclipse IDE** wizard click on the **File** dropdown option

Click on the **New** option

Then click on the **Other...** option

**Select a wizard** wizard will open, type "**java**" in the Wizards search bar, then click on the **Java Project** option

**Create a Java Project** wizard will open, give the project name in the **Project name** text input field

Scroll to the **JRE** section and click on the **Use an execution environment JRE** dropdown section
