Before creating Mini-Site pages, it's a best practice to setup the Mini-Site menu.
2
Navigate to **Structure > Menus > Mini-Site** in the content management system.\
\
**Note**: If you need to learn about managing menu links, review the[menu links guide](https://scribehow.com/shared/Adding_a_link_to_the_main_navigation__u0s5qCcySWSftWakCci9Ow)
3
Each menu link with a **Mini-Site parent link** represents an individual Mini-site. You can build out your Mini-site menu ahead of time with dummy links, or create menu links as you build pages.
**Note:** Adding child links to a Mini-Site parent link will only affect that specific Mini-site menu.
4
Alternatively, you can create menu links from the page editing screen. Remember to set the correct parent link that corresponds to your Mini-site.
**Note:** Your Mini-site landing page (the first page users visit) must always have a **Mini-Site parent link**.

The [[Sidebar Background Color]] field controls the color of the left-side menu.
Mini-Site Listings
7
Mini-Site entries can be made available as [**listings**](https://rccldemo.rutgers.edu/mini-site-page#listings) by entering a topic, optional summary, and optional promo image on the editing screen under [[Listing]].
8
The [Mini-Site Listing component](https://rccldemo.rutgers.edu/mini-site-page#listings) highlights Mini-Site content entries based on the topic category ID (taxonomy term). This component displays the entries based on time of creation (newest to oldest).
9
To filter listings using the Mini-Site Listing component, enter the taxonomy ID in the [[Options > Argument]] field.
10
Mini-Site taxonomies can be managed at **Structure > Taxonomy > Topic: Mini-Site**. The taxonomy ID is a number in the taxonomy entry's URL (e.g. /taxonomy/term/**10**).
