Using the deed drawer tool (desktop)

    Navigate to "My Maps." Select the map you want to edit, or [create a new map](https://support.id.land/interactive-maps#how-to-make-map).

    Make sure that Parcel labels are turned off.

    Click the "Boundary" shape in the feature palette to reveal the deed drawer option in the upper right hand corner.

    Click the "Deed Drawer" button.

    **Tip:** You can also access the "Deed Drawer" button by clicking on an existing boundary, allowing you to adjust or add calls as necessary.

    Click on your map to start creating your boundary.

    **Tip:** If you are not sure where to start your boundary, approximate the starting point, and you can adjust the location upon completing the drawing.

    Choose your Distance Units at the top of the deed drawer tool

    **Tip:** Make sure you are using the correct measurement units. Keep in mind the descriptions can contain multiple units. If you need to convert measurements, we recommend this[**Conversion Tool**](https://www.unitconverters.net/length-converter.html).

    Set the first Arc by inputting calls in, starting with directions (North or South).

    Continue putting in your deed call by entering Degrees, Minutes, and Seconds.

    Continue putting in your deed call by entering direction (East or West) and distance.

    **Tip:** Keep track of calls to ensure you do not enter calls twice or lose your spot.

    Continue adding deed calls by clicking "Add New Arc Here" button and repeating the direction and distance entry for each boundary point.

    Optional: Click on curve icon to create a curved segment to your boundary.

    Choose a right or left curve direction based on your description.

    Provide two values for the curve. Available options include: Chord, Arc Length, Delta Angle and Radius.

    Fill in values.

    **Tip:** If you need to adjust the curves, or if your description includes it, you can add detailed chord data in the "Advanced options" dropdown.

    Continue adding deed calls by clicking "Add New Arc Here" button and repeating the direction and distance entry for each boundary point.
