Click "Participants" in the course header menu.

Click on a student to view their profile.
The student profile can be viewed from most pages where student names are visible and not just the participants' page. For example in a forum or assignment.

Select a report. Commonly used reports are Forum posts, outline, and complete reports.
The outline and complete report are similar but the complete report contains more details such as assignment submission details and forum posts.

For example, the outline summary of information for each activity in Moodle and how the student engaged in it.
