      Open the Grader Report

Click "Grades" in your course header menu
If this is your first time opening the Gradebook, the Grader report view will automatically display. Otherwise, if a different report displays, select Grader report from the drop-down list. All Gradebook reports and views are accessible from this list. If you are looking for a particular student, you can either search for the student by their zID or using the First name and Surname filter.
At the bottom of the grader report, you can access all the students and their grades for certain activities. From this, you can make any grade changes and view the course totals by sliding all the way to the right.

      Filter

Use the following filters to find specific students and navigate their grades. Click a letter for "First name" or "Surname" to filter to specific students. Click 'All' once done with the filter to undo it.
Enter a student zID and click "Go" to find a specific student.
Click the arrow beside a gradable item to change the order marks display. Each click will switch the order between descending and ascending.

      Enter or Override Marks

Take caution when overriding marks in Moodle Gradebook. In some cases, overwritten marks can no longer be changed from the source activity and have it reflected back in the Gradebook (e.g. Turnitin) Where possible, re-grade from the source activity.
Enter or Override Marks This is generally used to add marks into your own added grade items/columns. Only enter marks into an existing activity's column as a final measure to override a student's existing mark. Overriden marks will be displayed on a yellow background and Moodle will use the gradebook's mark instead of the mark provided within the activity (ie, Assignment or Turnitin). Click "Edit mode".
      Enter a mark(s).
Press Enter on the keyboard or click "Save changes".

See Student View: See how marks are displayed to students

Click the table icon beside a student.
Set "View report as" to "User".
The student's marks will be displayed within the table, greyed out marks will not be visible to the student.
