how a student joins your language learning community š„³

Somos

students can join your community directly from your somos profile page by clicking the [[š join my community for free]] button

they'll be taken through a short onboarding form so you have some initial info about them. to start with we'll want to know if they already have a somos account or not.

for first time joiners, we'll need to collect some basic info. please note that for now, all somos students needs to be at least 18.
if you have any reason to suspect that a new student in your community is a minor, please let us know at [[[email protected]]] as a matter of urgency.

we ask students to let us know their time zone (which we'll share with you) so that you have a rough idea of when they may be online.

we'll obviously need to know which language your student wants to learn with you š

we also ask them to describe their own level from a number of options. this will be shared with you to give you an idea of what you're working with!

students can also prioritise up to 3 learning goals to help you have an understanding of what is driving them!

at somos, we're all about you building the best connection possible with your students. we give them an opportunity to send you a personal message so you are as informed as possible about what they are looking for before joining.
they also let us know how they heard about your community.

boom and that's it! once they submit the form, you'll be notified with a short email summarizing what they've told us. happy teaching!
