1. PowerMax Managment Overview

In this module, you will login to Unipshere for PowerMax. You will review the pre-created dashboards, and gain an overview of the managed PowerMax Systems.

Unisphere Overview

Using the latest Unisphere for PowerMax you will tour the new and improved UI and navigation. You will view the components from an array level such as System Health, Capacity, Performance etc.

Double click on the **"U4V Demo"** icon on the Desktop of your launchpad VM. A browser window will open and you will be prompted for username and password to login.

Enter the following credentials to access Unisphere. - Username: **smc** - Password: **smc** Click **"Login"** Production systems can be configured to integrate with authentication authorities such as LDAP and Multifactor authentication can also be configured. The simulator is using a built in account for demo purposes only.

Upon login to Unisphere for PowerMax, you will see the Overview Dashboard page. Unisphere for PowerMax systems can manage up to 20 PowerMax arrays from a single console. From this page you get summary information about each PowerMax system including it's health status. You can select individual systems to to drill down for more details and focus management tasks on which ever array you want to work providing the user has the correct privileges. The Dashboard page is meant to give a quick glance into the current status of the environment and bring to attention any issues that should be addressed by the administrator.

The **Overview** dashboard gives high level information on Health and Capacity for locally attached PowerMax arrrays.

Any **Alerts** for the managed systems that need addressing are also visible.

The **Capacity** pane will highlight any capacity concerns at the overview page.

**Performance** information is also available showing Performance Details for the most active Storage Groups on monitored systems.

Status of connectivity to Dell AIOPs (formerly CloudIQ) and any available updates for the connected systems are also displayed, ensuring administrators can plan for upgrades and see if systems are current on PowerMax OS versions.

Click on the **Information** icon on the top right to view all new features in this release of Unipshere for PowerMax

Review the information and close the **All Features and Updates** dialog. **Close** when you are finished reading.
