Accessing Otter.ai Transcripts

Otter

CAST is committed to providing live captions during our sessions using the third-party app [Otter.ai](http://Otter.ai). This app helps us use a custom dictionary to better capture our dialogue. To access live captions during the training, click on the top right corner of the Zoom window. You’ll see a red box labeled "Live" with an accompanying box that says “[Otter.ai](http://Otter.ai) (click here to open live transcript).”

Select the option “View Stream on [Otter.ai](http://Otter.ai) (click here to open live transcript).” This will open a new browser window and prompt you to log in. [Otter.ai](http://Otter.ai) requires you to create an account to access the transcript. You can choose the login method that works best for you.

Once you’ve logged in, you’ll be directed to the live transcription page.

After the class, the live transcription will end. You can request access to the transcript by typing in your email. CAST will also provide a link to the full transcript in the Canvas course once the session is over.
