Accushield Mobile App Walkthrough for Residents

The Accushield Mobile App is a quick and easy way for residents to sign-in and sign-out without having to touch the Kiosk. Because of how quickly residents can sign-out through the app, this usually increases compliance. The mobile app is available for guests, providers, staff and residents to utilize.

Downloading the App

Go to your smart phone's app store, search for "Accushield Mobile" Click into the "Accushield Mobile" search result and click the cloud button to download the app.

Once the app has been downloaded, you can click the "Open" button.

Once the app is opened, click "Let's Get Started"

The app must first confirm your phone number. Type in your mobile phone number and then click "Continue"

After that, you will receive a text message with a verification code. Type that code into the "Verification Code" field and hit "Continue"

During this process, the app may ask if you'd like to receive notifications. We'd recommend clicking "Allow"

Using the App

After that, the app is ready and available to be used by the resident. Whenever the resident leaves the community, they should open their app and click the "I Am Going Out" button.

Depending on how the community has configured their resident sign-out process, there may be a few questions for the resident to answer. The first asks, "Are you leaving with someone?"

If the answer to the previous question is "Yes," there will be an additional question. This question provides the community with valuable contact information, in situations where they may need to reach out while the resident is away.

There's also a question that asks where the resident is going. If the community has these questions set as being "optional," there will be a "skip" button that the resident can choose to use.

The last question is asking for an estimate of when the resident thinks they'll be returning back to the community. Following this, the resident will be marked as being "signed out" within reporting until they return to the community and sign back in.

Signing back in is easy. The resident will just need to open their Accushield Mobile app and click the "I Am Home" button.

That action should sign them back in. The resident will now be shown as being signed-in on reporting.
