Add and Customize Announcement Bar Messages

Navigating to the Announcement bar setup tab

Navigate to the C:Hub Customer Accounts app and click the 'Customize' tab on the left

Click "Announcement Bar"

Adding a Standard Announcement Bar

Click "Add Announcement"

From the 'Display Announcement in:' section, select where you'd like to display the announcement.\ \ You can select for your announcement to be displayed in the 'For You', 'Order Search' (Orders Page), 'Order Details' and 'Profile'. You can select for the announcement bar to be in as many or little of these as you'd prefer.

Under the '**Announcement Details**' section, you can select the '**Type**' of announcement you'd like to add:\ \ Standard - A white announcement bar\ Info - A blue announcement bar\ Success - A green announcement bar\ Warning - A red announcement bar\ Alert - A yellow announcement bar\ \ Inside of the '**Internal Reference**' field, you can add your own internal reference for the announcement bar you're creating.\ \ Beneath these, you can type in your announcement in the 'Announcement (required)' field.

For our example, we're going to type "Hi! I'm your new announcement bar!" into the announcement field and then toggle on the announcement bar (announcement bars are disabled by default)

Click "Save"

Click "Login & View My Account"

We can now see the announcement bar above the body of content on the customer account page.

Adding an Announcement with a link

Click "Add Announcement"

For this example, we'll be adding a tracking announcement bar with a tracking link. So we'll select for the announcement to be displayed on the 'Order Search' and 'Order Details' by toggling those on and the 'For You' toggle off.\ \ We'll select 'Info' for the type of announcement under 'announcement details', you can select from any of these.

We'll name the 'Internal Reference' "Tracking Link" and the Announcement "Track your orders here!"\ \ Select the "Link" option from the 'Action Button' drop down, below the 'Announcement (required)' field

In the 'button text' field, we'll add the text we'd like to be displayed on the customers account, inside of the button we'll be adding to the announcement bar.\ \ For this example, we'll add 'Order Tracking' as the button text and in the 'Button URL' field, we'll add '<https://myordertrackingapp.com>' as the URL (this is an example URL).\ \ Once done, toggle on the announcement.

Click "Save"

Click "Login & View My Account"

Click on the 'Orders' tab within your customer account and you'll see the new announcement bar added above your orders section.

Click 'View' on an order

To also see the announcement bar, above your order details

Add an announcement bar with a copy text button

Click "Add Announcement"

Select the 'Type' of announcement you'd like to add from the 'Type' drop down. In this example we'll use 'Success'

Add your 'Internal Reference', for the example we'll call ours 'Coupon campaign'.\ \ Add your Announcement to the 'Announcement' field\ \ Then select the "Copy Text" option under the 'Action Button' field

In the 'button text' field, we'll add the text we'd like to be displayed on the customers account, inside of the button we'll be adding to the announcement bar.\ \ For this example, we'll add 'Copy Coupon Code' as the button text and in the 'Button URL' field, we'll add 'GET5%' as the text to be copied.\ \ Once done, toggle on the announcement.

If you have any other announcements also toggled on in the same location, that's fine, the announcements will stack one on top of the other. In this example though, we'll toggle off our first announcement.

Click "Save"

Click "Login & View My Account"

You'll see your new announcement bar, on the dashboard, above your account details.

**Can I use tags to display announcement bars to only certain people?**\ Yes, all announcement bars have a build in tagging system. Simply open the announcement you'd like to add tags to and go to the section 'Only show to customers tagged with'.
