Add and Edit Committee Members in Arena

When updating your church’s committee lists, please remember that certain committees are required to be organized by classes with three years of service (terms of service). Lay Leadership Committee SPRC / PPR Committee Board of Trustees Each of these committees must be divided into classes, with members serving staggered terms to ensure continuity of leadership. Please be sure to indicate the class year (end date) for each member when updating your records.

Navigate to www.bwcumc.org, then click "Arena"

Click "You are not logged in. Click here to log in." Login as the church. \ Example: BWC-0000-0A (BWC-your church ID #-unique identifiers)\ If you do not know the username, click Forgot Username. \ If you do not know the password, click Forgot Password. (You will need the churches username and email to receive a new password).

Click "My Committees"

Click on the committee you want to work on.

To add someone to the committee, click "New Member".

Add their full name and email address.

Check their role in the system. If it needs to be updated, use the dropdown to choose their correct role.

Add the date they will begin their new role.

Add the date they will no longer be on the committee.

To easily navigate to a new year, click on the month at the top of the calendar, choose the year, month, and then date.

Click "Add Member"

Edit - To edit someone under committees, click on their name

Click "Edit"

You can update everything with the exception of their name. This includes their email address, committee role, start and end dates. (The committee person can also update their own email, address, and more by logging into their account. Here are the directions you can share with them).

Click "Save"

To view everyone on the committee, click "Print Roster".
