Add or adjust discounts for your products in Solatech Focus

Navigate to your Solatech Focus account

Click **Admin** in the upper right-hand corner of the navigation bar.

Click **Discounts**

Click the **Download** button to download a copy of your discounts onto your computer.

Note the blue banner entitled **Products without Discounts.**\ As an example, we will add discounts to the two highlighted products below.

Find and open the downloaded document containing discounts. It can be opened with either Microsoft Excel, or Google Sheets.

Go to the product to which you wish to apply discounts. Find the column G on the right, labeled "***discount****"*

Within column G, click in the cell on the same line as the product to which you wish to apply a discount. Click in this cell.

Use the cost factor provided to you by the manufacturer. Subtract the cost factor from the number "1" to find the discount. In this case the cost factor is 0.3\ When 0.3 is subtracted from "1" we get the decimal 0.7 which is the discount. Type the discount of 0.7 into the cell.

The new cell should look something like this, with "0.7" now in the cell. \ When you quote this product, you will see a 70% discount on *Alta Eclipse Polyresin Shutters.*

Let's do one more. \ \ The cost factor is .35\ Subtract the cost factor from "1" and the result is "0.65"\ Type "0.65" into the cell. When you quote this product, you will see a 65% discount on *Alta Faux Wood Basics.*

Once you have entered all desired discounts, return to the **Discounts** tab in Solatech Focus. Click on the **Choose File** button to select the file to which you just added the discounts. Then select **Apply** to overwrite the old discounts file. Note: The two products which now have discount, are no longer under the blue banner ***Products without Discounts***

Now, when you quote products with assigned discounts, the products should be discounted immediately.
