Adding, Editing and Exporting Data Widgets

Unlock deeper insights from your dashboards by combining dynamic data widgets with your interactive Spotzi maps. Add graphs, lists, or single-value widgets using data from Spotzi Explorer or your own custom layers to create powerful and actionable visualizations.

Add Widgets from Premium Spotzi Data

To begin adding your own widgets, navigate to the widget icon on the left.

If default widgets are already present, you can remove them to start with a clean slate.

Click "Add widget".

Click "Spotzi Explorer" to add a widget using Spotzi's premium data.

Select the dataset that contains the data you'd like to add to your dashboard. All of the premium datasets you purchased at this aggregation level will be available in this dropdown.

You may select your widget format. A "List / Bar Graph" widget will add a widget containing multiple data variables in a graph.

Select the specific graph you'd like to add from the next dropdown.

Click "Add".

The graph you selected will be added to the dashboard as a widget. You can hover over the graph bars to see the individual values for each variable.

Continue adding new widgets. Navigate back to the widget tab and click "Add widget".

Click "Spotzi Explorer".

Select your desired dataset from the dropdown.

Single value widgets will display one variable at a time.

You may search for the specific variable you're looking for and select it from the dropdown.

The selected single-value widget displays the value of your variable for the locations currently shown on the map. It also displays a baseline value for all unfiltered objects on your map. If no filters are applied, the displayed value and the baseline value will be the same.

The widget's main value is updated to represent only your visible map objects when filters are applied to your map layer. Widgets added to [Out-of-Home Smart](https://scribehow.com/viewer/Campaign_Planning_with_Out-of-Home_Smart__RjhTtXBSSfKs4S9Ytgl68Q) and [Out-of-Home Select](https://scribehow.com/viewer/View_and_Filter_Inventory_with_Out-of-Home_Select__o3_NUlJGSmmqZjvH1ptu8A) dashboards will update to represent the data for the audiences passing by your filtered assets.

Add Widgets from Layer Data

Data variables are available in Spotzi Explorer, but you may also add widgets using the data found directly in the data layer you're using in your map. Click "Add widget" to begin adding a widget using layer data.

Click "Layer Data".

You have the option of selecting a singleval widget or a list widget. Singleval widgets will show you the count, sum, or average of the data found in a single data column.

List widgets will display all of the data values found in a particular column as a list. You will also be able to see the count or percentage of each value in your (filtered) layer objects.

For example, we can add a postal code list widget directly from the postal code layer in our dashboard. Select the postal code column from the dropdown.

Click "Add".

A widget displaying a list of the FSAs visible on your map will appear. A column featuring the count of each FSA (in this case, one each) will also appear on the right side of the widget.

Add Custom Widgets

You can also add widgets that display custom text or HTML code. This is useful when sharing a dashboard with others, as it allows you to include explanations of what they’re viewing, or to add branded content and formatted information using HTML. Navigate to the widget tab and select "Custom Text" from the dropdown.

Add your custom widget title and text to the available fields. Click "Add" when you're happy with your input.

A widget with your custom text will appear in the widgets panel of your dashboard.

You may also use HTML snippets to describe your dashboard, project or company to any dashboard viewer. Add the HTML text to the "Description" window, and click Add/Update.

A widget based on your custom HTML snippet will appear in the widgets panel of your dashboard.

Deleting Widgets

You may easily delete any widget by clicking on it's trash icon in the widget options. Please note: Widgets added from Spotzi Explorer or your own data can always be re-created. However, the default widgets found in [Measurement reports](https://scribehow.com/viewer/Creating_and_Interpreting_Measurement_Profiles_FTA_Reports_in_Spotzi__k9nd6cQNTBC2cm6WCUbUPQ) or [Visitor Profiles](https://scribehow.com/viewer/Creating_A_Visitor_Profile_Dashboard_In_Spotzi__rxcGWH3uSEqZ1mXfEJZbog) cannot be re-created after deletion.

Change Widget Titles

You may edit the titles of any widgets by clicking on the widget in the widget menu.

Click the "Title" field.

Replace the widget name with your preferred title.

The title of your widget will update.

Data Baselines & Widget Order

Navigate to your widget panel. Click and drag widgets to rearrange their order in your dashboard.

You may also toggle the "baseline" values on and off for single value widgets.

Download Widget Data

Click the download icon in the top right corner of any widget to download the displayed data as a CSV.

If you're working in a dashboard with export options enabled (such as an Out-of-Home asset dashboard, or a dashboard containing your own location data) you may also export some widget insights at location level. Click the "Export" button in the top right corner of your dashboard.

A dashboard-wide export lets you download all filtered locations from your dashboard as a CSV file. You can also include data from single-value widgets as additional columns in the export, providing detailed insights for each individual location. Select the widget data you want to include in your download.

Click "Download CSV" when you're happy with your selection.

The widget data you selected will be available visible in your data download.
