Adding pupils to Classes/Groups

This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to add pupils to classes or groups. It explains how to add pupils in bulk, and how to remove them if needed. It also mentions a valuable feature of searching for pupils within a class or group.

Click "Classes & Groups"

Click on the class you wish to edit, in this example it is "Year 1 Oak Class"

In the pupils section of the class you can populate the class with children by clicking "Bulk Action" and then "Add or remove", we are going to add pupils

You will be presented with all the pupils within your organisation, you can scroll through on the tabs below to find the children you wish to add

Check the boxes next to any pupils you wish to add to the class or group. Please note that children can be in multiple classes and groups. So by adding them to a class you are not removing them from any other group or class they may be in.

Click "Apply 18 Changes"

You can now see all the pupils in the class that you have just added.

If you want to remove a child from the class Click here.

Select the child you wish to remove by checking the box, and Click "Apply 1 Change". They will now be removed from the class.

You can even search for pupils within a class or group. This is useful for larger group and saves scrolling time.
