Adjustment Request: Budget Modification

From the Home/Dashboard page, click "**Searches**".

Click "**Awards**".

Select "**Grant Activated**" in the "**Status**" dropdown list.

Click "**Search**".

Select the award you would like to submit an adjustment request under.

In the left menu, scroll down to "Status Options" section and click "**Grant Adjustment Request Initiated**".

Click "**OK**".

In the left menu, scroll down to the "**Grant Adjustments**" section and click "**Grant Adjustment Request**".

Select the grant request you would like to complete.

To revise your budget, under "**Nature of Adjustment**" click the "**Revised Budget**" check box.

Select the budget category(s) you would like to edit. In this example, a request is being made to edit the Personnel and Supplies categories.

Please Note! You must select all the grant categories that you will be increasing, decreasing, or transferring funds too. If you fail to do so you will not be able to edit those pages.

Write a detailed explanation of the budget revision in "**Section III**".

*Optional*. Upload any supporting documentation. ***Note***: You must write a brief explanation of the upload you're attaching.

Click "**Save & Submit Adjustment Request**".

Click "**OK**".

The "Document Status" should now be in "**Grant Adjustment Request Submitted/In Review**".

**Tip!** "Document Status" should now be in "Grant Adjustment Request Submitted/In Review" means your Grant Specialist has received your adjustment request and is under review. At this point, your Grant Specialist can change the status to: 1. **Grant Adjustment in Process** (your adjustment has been approved and you may proceed in editing your budget) 2. **Grant Adjustment Modifications Required** (revisions or additional information is required) 3. **Grant Adjustment Denied** (your adjustment has not been approved due to an unallowable request) Check your "**My Tasks**" on the home screen dashboard for next steps and/or your award for the current status.

Once the award is in "**Grant Adjustment in Process**", you may proceed in making the edits requested in your adjustment.

In the left menu, scroll down to "**Budget Forms**" section and click "**Personnel**".

Make the Personnel change(s) requested on the adjustment form ensuring to add a written explanation in the narrative text box explaining the cost(s) added to the budget category. You may also upload an attachment as support documentation.

Click "**Save**".

In the left menu under the Budget Forms section, click "**Supplies**".

Make the Supply change(s) requested on the adjustment form.

Add a written explanation in the narrative text box explaining the cost(s) added to the budget category. You may also upload an attachment as support documentation.

Click "**Save**".

In the left menu under the Budget Forms section, click "**Budget Summary**".

Review the Budget Summary to ensure that all the revisions and budget totals are correct.

In the left menu under the Status Options section, click "**Grant Adjustment Submitted/In Review**".

Click "**OK**".

Document status should now be in "**Grant Adjustment Submitted/In Review**".

**Tip!** At this point, your Grant Specialist can change the status to: 1. **Grant Adjustment Approved** (your adjustment request has recieved final approval and has been returned to the Grant Activated status) 2. **Grant Adjustment in Supervisor** (your adjustment has been sent for final review and approval) 3. **Grant Adjustment Modifications Required** (revisions or additional information is required) 4. **Grant Adjustment Denied** (your adjustment has not been approved due to an unallowable request) Check your "**My Tasks**" on the home screen dashboard for next steps and/or your award for the current status.

When your award is in the "**Grant Activated**" status, this means your adjustment request has received final approval.

If you scroll down on the Document Landing Page, you should see your budget revisions reflected in the table.
