Advanced Customer & Job Search

Learn how to use the new advanced customer and job search, which will allow you to search for different specifications, group searches and create audiences from them.

The advanced search feature will be available from the below views, and can be actioned via the filter icon, as below. - Visual Planner - Work Planner - Job List - Overview - Customers - Owing - Canvassing

Advanced Customer Search

Both the advanced customer and job search fields will show up after clicking the filter icon. The customer option will show at the top, and allow you to filter by: - name - email - phone - address - state - balance - debt age (days) - GoCardless status - Stripe status - has mobile/email - has jobs - marketing email/SMS opted in - source - reference - notes - last payment method - cancellation reason - deactivated date - customer created date - customer ID

To start creating filters, simply click the drop down menu or text field for each desired filter and adjust it accordingly. In this example, I first want to filter for just active customers, so I click the 'Customer Status' filter drop down and select 'active'. You should see the Customers list start to whittle down into the audience you are creating.

To combine filters, simply continue to add them in the list. For example, here, I am filtering by 'GoCardless Status = Active', so I choose 'Active' in the relevant drop down menu. Once I have added the second search filter, the search will become: Customers state is Active\ AND\ Customer has an active GC mandate.

If you need to clear your filters at any point, you can click 'CLEAR ALL' to do so.

If you want to search for the negative of the filter, simply click to highlight the 'NOT' button. The search then becomes: Customer state is Active \ AND \ Customer does NOT have an active GC mandate.

Again, you will see the search results populate pretty much straight away on the Customers list, or other view, depending on where you are conducting the search.

You will also see some YES/NO filters, such as below - you can highlight the option you want to search for.

Advanced Job Search

The advanced job search will allow you to search by: - job status - job address - job price - frequency type - frequency interval - round - service - job notes - job created date - price last changed date - job ID

The job filters act the same as the customer filters, and can be combined in the same search. In this example, I am filtering by: Job status is active.

I can combine this filter with others, such as: Frequency interval is less than 50 To do this, you can use the equal/more/less than options on the relevant filters.

If filtering by Round or Service, you can use the drop down menu to select multiple rounds/services to add to the overall filter and search.

Grouping Your Search Filters

If you want to search for multiple contrasting filters, you can click 'ADD OR GROUP' after creating the first filter set. This will essentially create an 'OR' so that you can add multiple audiences.

You will see any search groups at the top of the Advanced Search, and can click on the relevant options to edit, clear or remove the filter group.

To demonstrate the grouping of filters, we'll show you below the creation of the second filter group. In this example, I am filtering for: Customer source is Tomato\ AND\ Last payment method is 'Cash Received'.

Now, the full query will search for: Customer state is Active \ AND \ Customer does NOT have an active GC mandate OR Customer source is Tomato\ AND\ Last payment method is 'Cash Received'

Once you have completed your filtering, you can click 'DONE' to finalise your search and close the filter options.

Creating an Audience Using Advanced Search

Once you have finalised your audience, you can click 'CREATE AUDIENCE'.

You will need to set the name of this, and can then click 'SAVE'.

Once added as a new audience, this will be saved in the audience selection, as below, so that you do not have to create the filters again. If you click this, you will be able to choose between the available saved audiences.
