Agent Configuration

Learn how to build, customize, and deploy a personalized AI sales agent within the Recal platform. This guide covers everything from adjusting personality and voice settings to managing meeting availability and assigning knowledge base assets.

Navigate to SalesAi

On the lefthand side, click **My Agents.**

In the upper righthand corner, click **Create Agent.**

A new popup window will appear. Select **Build Your Own** then click **Create Agent.**

Agent Creation has *5 categories*—be sure to complete all 5 to build your agent thoroughly.

Category 1: Agent Profile

Click **Agent Profile** near the top of your screen, underneath the agent's avatar.

Complete the basic info: **internal name, agent name, and job title** for the agent (generalist, sales specialist, or customer experience rep).

Remember: Agent Name is how the agent introduces itself on customer calls.

Finally, for this category, set the agent's personality for each option: **Response Length, Helpfulness, Confidence, Emotional Temperature, Friendliness, Emotional Awareness, Energy, and Curiosity.**

Each personality section includes a brief explanation so you can choose what fits your use case best.

Category 2: Configuration

Once finished choosing your agent's personality, scroll to the top and select category 2 - **Configuration.**

Begin by inputting your agent's prompt. Select **Prompts.**

Input the agent's **Objective/Goal** :: the agent's overall goal

Next, input the agent's **Call Context & Purpose** :: the agent's purpose for calling / the framework.

Then, input the agent's **Objection & Question Responses** :: the agent's responses to questions, hesitations, or pushback.

Finally, input the agent's **Guardrails & Avoidance** :: phrases/actions the agent should avoid saying or doing.

Optional: Within each prompting section, add custom fields by **clicking the { } brackets.** *Note: This is where any custom variables you create will live.*

Next, configure voice settings (still in the Configuration category). Click **Voice** near the top next to Prompts. Choose a default language and optional secondary language for bilingual support. Then select the avatar that best fits your use case and matches your agent’s name/gender.

Next, input your **Communication Controls** for inbound and/or outbound opening messages.

Finally, for this category, select **Advanced Voice Settings** near the top right.

Optional: Select **noise settings** *(background ambience, noice suppression, and thinking noise).*

Next, drag the slide bar to your preferred setting for each voice performance section **(Similarity, Stability, Speed, Turn Timeout, Force Turn Timeout, Interrupt Sensitivity, False Interruption Sensitivity, and Consecutive Speech Delay).** When ready, click **Save Changes.**

Category 3: Actions

Once finished programming your agent, scroll to the top and select category 3 - **Actions.**

Set up your call outcome - **Book a Meeting and/or Live Transfer.** Note: If your use case is informative only, you can proceed to the next category.

**Book A Meeting setup** :: meeting title, meeting description, calendar connectivity, booking mode, meeting location, time zone, meeting duration, notice time, and meeting buffer.

For the calendar(s) chosen, select the availability The **trash icon** will delete inputted days/times. To add new days/times, select **+ Add Hours.**

When finished configuring your meeting settings, click **Save** in the bottom right hand corner.

**Live Transfer setup ::** input transfer number(s), call routing, transfer type, and transfer prompt (only for warm transfer). When finished, click **Save** in the bottom right hand corner.

Select your **primary** Call-to-Action, then enable one or both actions using the toggle. A green highlight around the box means it’s active.

Category 4: Tools

Once finished setting up your call-to-action(s), scroll to the top and select category 4 - **Tools.**

Optional: Paste the post-call webhook URL. If you do not have a webhook, proceed to Category 5.

Category 5: Knowledge

Finally, scroll to the top and select category 5 - **Knowledge.**

Assign pre-uploaded knowledge assets (texts and/or copy/paste resources) from the Knowledge Library, or click **+ Add New Asset** to upload a URL or document.

Add a Phone Number

Now that your agent is configured, assign the agent a phone number. In the upper righthand corner, click **Select a Phone Number.** You can search for numbers or choose to few only available numbers. Click the box to the left of the desired number. When finished, click **Assign Phone Number.**

Once your number is assigned, click **Save Changes** in the upper righthand corner.
