Agents: General AgriNet Mapping Navigation

Agrisompo

Navigate to [https://agrinet.agrisompo.com/policy](https://agrinet.agrisompo.com/policy)

Map Area

The insured map will display if the user navigated to Mapping from a specific policy.

A blank United States Map will display if the user navigated to Mapping from the insured level.

Toolbar

The toolbar contains menus for different tools within AgriNet Mapping. Guides for each individual task are available and can be found in Saba.

Search the Map

Users can Search the map by Address, Legal Description, and by CLU. **Search by address**-AgriNet Mapping is Google based and works much like Google Earth and Google Maps. A user can search for an exact address or a landmark with a city and state included. The exact location of the search will be identified by a yellow star with a red outline. **Search by Legal Description-** If applicable in the area, a user can search by legals. Leading zeros must be entered in for the section. At least 4 characters must be entered to trigger a search. As more characters are typed, the search is refined. **Search by CLU-** A user can search for a specific CLU anywhere on the map as long as the numbers they are searching for are valid according to the most current CLU layer. Specific instructions for search by CLU can be found in the Search for CLUs Guide in Saba.

Search For An Insured Or Policy

The search box at the very top of the screen allows a user to search for a policy or insured. Simply click in the box and start typing to generate a list of insureds or policies similar to your typed request. The search box will generate the list after a minimum of 4 characters have been typed in. The system will continue to refine the search as more information is typed in.

Display A Different Policy On The Map For The Same Insured

The blue book next to the search bar will list all the policies for the insured. To view a different policy, simply choose from the list.

Refresh Policy

The refresh button allows the user to see the latest updates after data is changed.

Zoom To

The Zoom To feature allows the user to pan the map to a specific area that was selected from the Zoom To menu. The Zoom To tool will only zoom to areas within the policy map.

Example: Selecting a FSN/Tract will pan the map to encompass the fields with that FSN/Tract. Use the arrows to navigate to the next FSN/Tract.

Zoom Map

Use the plus (+) and minus (-) buttons in the top right corner of the map area to zoom the map in and out.

Map Display Settings

**Layers-** The layers menu provides several different layers that can be turned on and off based on user preference. Layers cannot be reordered. They will be displayed in the order they are listed in the menu. **Policy Labels-** displays any labels selected from the menu. **Legals**-displays the Public Land Survey System (PLSS) boundaries. **County-** displays the county boundaries. **State-** displays the state boundaries. **Rainfall-** displays the rainfall index grid boundaries. **UDGO-** displays the UDGO boundaries where applicable. **UDGO Centroid-** displays the center of each shape. If the CLU layer is also turned on, this can be overlapped by the CLU number. **Actuarial Map-** displays high risk and T-Yield areas. **Texas Abstracts-** In areas where Texas Abstracts exist. **Crops-** color codes the policy fields according to which crop has been reported on the fields. Each crop will have a different standard color assignment. **CLU and (labels)-** displays all Common Land Units (CLUs) available. The last time the layer was updated will also display. **Available RLUs-** If RLUs exist on the policy, they can be hidden or displayed by selecting this layer. **Insured Fields-** This will display all fields for the insured. The fields on the current policy will be outlined in yellow and will be the only fields the user will be ale to work on. All other fields will be blue in color and view only. **Precision Ag-** This layer will be grayed out if there is no precision ag data available for the agency. Viewing the Precision Ag layer will display all precision ag planted shapes as reported using precision ag data. **High Risk Labels-** displays the high risk codes in high risk areas. A user may select one of the following Google layers for the background: Terrain, Roadmap, or Satellite (with or without labels).

When selected (and if applicable), the following labels will display on each field at the center of each field shape. Labels cannot be reordered. Labels will be listed in the order they are listed in the Label Menu. **Farm-** displays the farm number associated with the field. **Tract-** displays the tract number associated with the field. **Field/Suffix-** displays the field number and suffix (if applicable) associated with the field. **RLUID (if applicable)-** displays the RLU ID provided by the RMA after being successfully submitted. **Field Name-** displays the field name entered in Field Editor for the field. **Unit Number-** displays the unit number linked to the field for the crop information reported. **Line Number-** displays the line number linked to the field. **Farm Name-** displays the farm name entered in AgriNet under the Acreage Tab. **Crop/Type/Practice-** displays the crop/type/practice reported to a field based on the unit selected. **Reported Acres-** displays the acres planted and reported to the field. **Plant Date-** displays the date reported to the field. **Field Acres-** displays the CLU acres available to report. **Calculated Acres-** displays the calculated acres when modifications are made to the shape of the field.

Moving Labels- Labels can be moved around for viewing and printing purposes. Click on the yellow **MOVE LABELS** button to turn the function on. This drops pins on each label. Grab a pin to move the label. If the label is moved off the field, a red line will automatically be drawn between the pin and the center of the field so a viewer knows that label belongs to the appropriate field. To save and close out, click on the blue **Move Labels- ON** button.

Note: If a layer is turned on and you don't see the layer, try zooming in. Many layers require a user to be at a more granular level for viewing.

Note: Note: To close the menu, simply click anywhere on the map.

Note: The layers and labels, as selected, will appear on printed materials unless customized in Print Wizard.

User Preferences

A user may customize the colors for each crop. This is done at the sub-agency level. The crop will only display in the User Preference list if it is applicable to the policy. To customize crop colors: 1. Click on **Settings.** 2. Select **User Preferences.** 3. Use the drop-down arrow to choose a color next to each crop, type, and practice combination. The revert button will take the color back to the original state. 4. Click **Save** to apply changes. Use the Reset All to System Default to apply the default options to all settings.

A user may alter the transparency of the shape fill colors. To customize the colors: 1. Slide the opacity bar to the left to lighten the color and to the right to darken. 2. Use the revert arrow to reset to the default. 3. Click **Save** to apply changes.

A user may easily distinguish between planted and prevented plant acreage in mapping. This is done at the sub-agency level. To display crosshatch: 1. check the Prevented Planting Crosshatch box. 2. Click **Save** to apply changes.

A user can sort unit menus by Unit # or Line #. To set menu sort: 1. Click on **Sort Options** on the left of the User Preferences screen. 2. Choose Unit # or Line #. 3. Click on **SAVE** to apply changes.

High Risk Layer

The High Risk legend displays in the bottom left corner of the map area for the county. If there are no high risk areas in the county, the legend will say, "NO High Risk Exists." To expand the legend, click on the arrow on the right of the legend. If the county does contain high risk areas, the legend will display the HR grades and colors representing them. A user can expand the legend to see more details regarding the crops and associated high risk designations. A user may also select a different high risk layer to view, select a past year's layer to compare to, or turn off the high risk layer entirely.

The Reported Acres Legend is located in the bottom right corner of the map area. Use the arrow on the legend to expand it or collapse it. When collapsed, the selected policy county and state will display. When expanded, the total reported acres for each county crop will display. More granular information can be viewed in the Excel File Export. This can be opened through the Reported Acres Legend in addition to the Import/Export tool. The report will display all the fields and acres that have been reported on the policy.

APP Grid Icon

The menu within the app grid icon provides quick options to navigate to a different area within AgriNet.

Selecting Fields

Clicking on a field(s) from the map will display a prompt with the following actions for the selected fields: - Plant- will open the Field Editor for the selected fields. - Add to Unit- allows the user to add the selected field(s) to a crop and unit(s). - Delete- will delete the selected field(s). Choosing an action will apply it to all of the fields selected. If a user wishes to de-select a field, click the field on the map again or click the **X** next to the field number in the prompt before selecting an action.

Note: If a user selects fields that overlap, a prompt will appear asking which field the user wishes to select. After the selection, the Black Selections Box will appear.

Alert: If a user notices that something is missing from their mapping screen, try zooming the browser screen out to see whether the missing items begin reappearing. AgriNet Mapping was built for a minimum resolution of 1920X1080. On lower resolution screens or higher browser zoom levels, items may disappear from the screen.
