Agents: How To Add An SBI To A Policy

This guide provides a straightforward process for adding a Substantial Beneficial Interest(SBI) to a policy. By following this guide, users can efficiently update their policies with necessary SBI information. Last Updated on 8/25/2026

Agrisompo

Navigate to [AgriNet](https://agrinet.agrisompo.com/policy) and sign in using the Duo push process.

Click the correct Reinsurance/Crop year to work in.

Click the "Search Insured or Policy" field and key the policy number or insured's name and search.

Click the insureds name from the Policies list.

Click the Actions button.

Scroll down and click the "Add SBI" option.

Key the SBI's Name in the boxes provided. Then click the dropdown arrow for the Entity Type box and select the correct option.

Key the Tax ID type, and then the Tax Number. **NOTE**: Share is NOT required.

If eligible, select the **BFR**, **VFR**, and **AD-1026 Exemption** checkboxes. In the **SBI Assigned To** section, all Estimates/Policies associated with the primary policyholder should automatically be checked by default. If any Estimates/Policies should **not** be included, uncheck them at this time.

Click the "Contact Information" tab to continue entering SBI information.

Key the Phone Type, Phone Number, and E-Mail Address.

Enter the Mailing Address. **NOTE:** If same as Insured, click "Copy from Insured" and insured's address will auto-populate.

Click the "Save" button.

Click the "Close" button.

Viewing SBI information

Click the "SBIs" dropdown arrow from under the Insureds name.

Click the name on from the SBI List.

All SBI information is visible on this screen. Each Estimate/Policy the SBI is assigned to will be visible under the SBI Assigned To: section. **NOTE:** To edit any SBI information, click the Actions button, then Edit SBI.

Alert! Once a policy has been accepted by the underwriter and is no longer in “estimate” status, you will no longer be able to make changes in the system. This includes adding landlords, tenants, SBIs, or a POA. Any updates after acceptance must be submitted to the underwriter or completed using a Policy Change Request (PCR).
