**Editing a Shape** Adjusts the boundaries of a **CLU** by reshaping its perimeter. Users can refine existing outlines or create custom cut‑out areas within the CLU for more precise planning. **Splitting a Shape** Divides a single CLU into **two or more independent sections**, allowing users to manage **multiple planting events** or workflows separately.

Click "Drawing Tools" under the **Tools** drop-down.

Click on the field to be split. The field will turn white with a red border.

Click "Split Shape"

Users can split the shape by drawing a line or a circle.

Splitting with a line

Click "Draw Line"

Start the line by clicking outside the shape.

Drag the line straight across the shape, or click to change directions. Finish the line by double clicking outside the shape. Note: to redo the line, click on "undo"

The shape will split and a suffix will be assigned to each piece. Here, the user can add a field name or adjust the acres as needed. Note: when adjustments are being made, an animated line will display around the edge of the piece being modified.

Click "Split" to save.

The new split shapes will display on the map.

Splitting with a circle

Click the shape on the map.

Click "Split Shape"

Click "Draw Circle"

Click to drop the center of the circle.

Drag the circle to desired size.

Click "Save" to save circle.

If needed, make modifications to the acres and Field Names.

If the field is already linked to a line, at least one of those lines will need to be selected before saving.

Click "Split" to save.

The split field will display on the map.

Merging Shapes

Click on the two shapes to be merged. The shapes will turn white and highlight with a red border. Click on "Merge Shapes"

Type in the new FSN/Tract/Field.

Click "Merge Shapes"

The new merged shape will display on the field.
