Agents: Keying a Line of Insurance and APH Database

This guide provides a step-by-step process for effectively entering and managing Lines of Insurance and the APH database within AgriNet. It will also assist on how to enter skip row information that is required for all cotton lines for the policy to work effectively. This guide can be used for Corn, Soybeans, Grain Sorghum, Rice, Wheat, Oats and any other APH based plan of insurance. Last Updated: 3/24/2026

Agrisompo

This guide can be used for Corn, Soybeans, Grain Sorghum, Rice, Wheat, Oats and any other APH based plan of insurance.

Navigate to [agrinet.agrisompo.com/policy](//agrinet.agrisompo.com/policy) and sign in

Change the crop year to the year to work in, then click the "Search Insured or Policy" field.

Click the policy to add a line of insurance

Click the edit button from the commodities screen

Click "Actions"

Click "Add Line"

Keying the Acreage Tab on a Line (Setting up a Unit)

Select a unit option from the drop down box.

Key the unit number information to build the unit structure.

Select a practice from the "Practice" drop down menu.

Select a type from the "Type" drop down menu.

Key the "Farm #" and "Farm Name" on the Acreage tab.

Adjust the share percentage if it differs from the default value of 100%. **NOTE:** Key it as a whole number.

Click "Save" when finished.

Key APH Database

Click the "APH" tab from the left column.

Answer the new APH database questions as applicable, then click "Save".

Key the APH database history. Start by selecting the year from the left column and work right.

Click the SR Factor box if entering data for cotton.\ **NOTE:** This column will only populate for Skip Row base commodities.

If keying cotton, complete the three "APH Skip Row" boxes as applicable and click outside the banner box to close.

Complete this process for as many years as are needed.

Click the "Save" button.

Scroll up and click "APH Complete".

Click the "Save" button.

Keying a Planting Event

Click "Fields" tab from the column on the left.

Click the "Farm" field and key the farm, tract, field, and (if needed) sub-field.

After an F/T/F is entered in AgriNet, the field will automatically appear in Mapping.

NOTE: If you are keying skip row, it will be done on the "Fields" tab. Use the drop-down to choose a Skip Row Code.

NOTE: The Skip Row will only display on Non-Irrigated Cotton planting events.

Select a Skip Row Code from the drop-down list.

Key the correct factor percentage

Key the "Percent Planted" and "Row Width" and then select "Save".

After the system saves, click the "Update Acreage Line" button.

Click the "Close" button from the upper right hand corner.

On the commodities screen, the line will look as such when keying is complete.

Navigating between Lines

Once the Lines have been built, use the drop down to quickly change between available lines.
